Hollis Point is a small town on the shore of Lake Michigan, with one main street, one drive-in theater, and a diner that turns its lights on at five in the morning. Everybody knows everybody, which is either the best thing about the place or the worst, depending on the week you are having.

Each book follows different people and works perfectly well on its own. Read them in order and you get something extra: you watch the town itself change, and you catch people from earlier books turning up in the background of later ones, still arguing about the same things.

Every book in the series is a closed-door romance with a happily ever after.
