Help & FAQ
Readwillow is a reading site for clean, closed door romance. More kinds of story will follow.
What is Readwillow?
Readwillow is a reading site for clean, closed door romance, with more kinds of story to follow. You can read every book online, chapter by chapter, or download it as a PDF to keep. Chapter 1 of every book is always free, some books are free from start to finish, and a pass unlocks everything else.
Is Chapter 1 really free?
Yes. Chapter 1 of every book on Readwillow is free to read online, with no account and no card needed. It’s the easiest way to find out whether a story is right for you before you pick a pass. Books marked Free go further: every chapter is free, from the first page to the last.
How do Readwillow passes work?
A pass gives you every chapter of every book, plus PDF downloads, for one week, one month or one year. You pay once, and the pass simply ends when its time is up. Nothing renews on its own, so you’ll never be charged again unless you choose to buy another pass.
What happens when my pass ends?
Your pass stops at the end of its period and you won’t be charged again. You can still read Chapter 1 of every book and all of our free books. Any PDFs you already downloaded are yours to keep. When you want to keep reading, just pick a new pass on the Pricing page.
How many PDFs can I download?
The Weekly Pass includes 2 PDF downloads per week, the Monthly Pass includes 10 per month, and the Yearly Pass includes 12 every month. Downloading the same book again in the same period doesn’t use another download. PDFs of free books don’t count toward any limit, you just need a free Readwillow account.
Do I need an account to read free books?
No. You can read free books and every Chapter 1 online without an account. You only need a free Readwillow account to download the PDF of a free book, and a pass to read premium chapters or download premium PDFs. Creating an account is free and only takes a minute.
Can I read on my phone or e-reader?
Yes. Readwillow works in any modern browser, so you can read online on your phone, tablet or computer. You can also download PDFs and open them in your favorite reading app or send them to an e-reader that supports PDF files. Just log in on each device you use.
How do I pay for a pass?
Checkout is handled securely by PayPal. You can pay with your PayPal balance or with a debit or credit card, and you don’t need to share your card details with us. Prices are shown in US dollars and already include tax, so the price you see is the price you pay.
Can I get a refund?
Because a pass gives you instant access to every book, passes can’t be refunded once they’re purchased. If you were charged twice by mistake, or a problem on our side kept you from reading, contact us and we’ll make it right. You can read the details in our Refund Policy.
Are Readwillow books written with AI?
Many of our books are written with the help of AI tools, and we’re open about it. A person chooses every story, directs the plot and characters, and reviews every chapter before it’s published. Each book page shows a label that tells you exactly how that book was made, and our How Our Books Are Made page explains every step.
Are your books clean?
Yes. Our books are clean or closed door, with no explicit scenes, ever. Romance on Readwillow focuses on feelings, tension and happy endings, and anything more stays off the page. Books that touch on heavier topics, like grief, say so clearly on their book page, so you know what to expect.
How can I contact Readwillow?
Use the form on our Contact page and choose the topic that fits your question, such as your pass, a download or a book. We read every message and usually reply within a few days, straight to the email address you give us. Many answers are also right here in this FAQ.
